Per il mese di ottobre, Midnight Factory propone l'uscita homevideo di The Neon Demon, l'acclamato thriller horror di Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, Only God forgives). Il film è stato distribuito nelle sale cinematografiche italiane dall'8 giugno 2016 (grazie alla collaborazione tra Koch Media e Lucisano Media Group) ed è stato presentato in Concorso alla 69esima edizione del Festival di Cannes lo scorso 20 maggio.
Starting tomorrow, October 27, The Neon Demon will be available in a Steelbook Ultralimited double-disc Blu-Ray edition and a limited DVD and Blu-ray edition.
All editions are enhanced by a rich booklet containing trivia about the film but also a selection of extra content, including an exclusive interview with Nicolas Winding Refn, an evocative photo gallery, and an audio commentary on the film by leading lady Elle Fanning and the director himself.
The refined Steelbook Ultralimited version features a second Blu ray disc dedicated exclusively to special content, including an interview with Cliff Martinez (composer of the soundtrack), an incredible confrontation between Refn and Alejandro Jodorowsky held during the 2013 Monaco Film Festival, and an exclusive masterclass given by the director of The Neon Demon Munich.
The Neon Demon stars Elle Fanning, here as Jesse, a young girl who moved from Georgia to Los Angeles to pursue a career in modeling. Charming and beautiful, the young woman achieves overwhelming success while attracting the interest of a number of women who frequent the artful world of fashion. Soon Jesse is sucked into a vortex of obsession, envy, and perversion from which she will have difficulty emerging.
The screenplay involves Nicolas Winding Refn himself along with Polly Stenham and Mary Laws.
The cast instead consists of Elle Fanning (Maleficent), Jena Malone, Alessandro Nivola, Keanu Reeves, Desmond Harrington, Karl Glusman, Bella Heathcote (Dark Shadows), Abbey Lee, and Christina Hendricks.
The soundtrack is by Cliff Martinez.
