Monika, a young nurse, steals from the cemetery the corpse of Robert, the necrophiliac boy who died in the first Nekromantik. She has an affair with a porn film voice actor, but she does not feel satisfied partly because she is terribly attracted to the corpse that she still keeps stored at home. After much thought, she decides to lead a normal life and thus live alongside the living boyfriend and gets rid of the pile of rotting flesh keeping only the penis and head as souvenirs. But she cannot help but be herself and her necrophilic nature will prevail violently during intercourse with her boyfriend.
Buttgereit (Nekromantik, Der Todesking, Schramm), the king of the ultragore scene, once again brings his poetics of death to the screen with the long-awaited sequel to Nekromantik: Nekromantik 2.
The director takes more care in directing and is committed to creating a macabre and decadent atmosphere in which all elements (splatter, drama, grotesque, romantic) are interwoven to create a unique blend, a black poem, a work of depth with a mood all its own.
Anche qui, come nelle altre pellicole, i dialoghi sono ridotti (non si dice nulla prima del 19° minuto) e si ripetono alcune situazioni già viste nel primo capitolo. Unica nota dolente: nonostante il budget decisamente superiore a quello del suo predecessore il film risulta un pò piatto e ricalca il primo senza darci quel tocco innovativo. Ma è pur sempre la continuazione di una storia d'”amore” e sesso malato in pieno stile Buttgereit che piacerà sicuramente agli amanti del cinema necrofilo.
There are, however, some very interesting notes, concentrated especially in the final part in which there is a high rate of violence, there is no shortage of savagery and bloodshed, and the special effects are excellent
(the corpse is sublimely reproduced).
