necroWe are only a few days away from the release of Necropolis - City of the Dead (As Above, So Below) in Italian cinemas. The director is John Erick Dowdle known for directing The Poughkeepsie Tapes, Quarantine and Devil. The screenplay is by the director himself in collaboration with Drew Dowdle.

Labyrinthine catacombs lurk 320 km underground in Paris. A group of explorers reaches them, curious to scour the tunnels in which the remains of millions of corpses are piled. Their spirit of adventure is short-lived when they find that once they enter the catacombs, it is difficult to get out. Amid the panic and terror of being stuck among the bones with no way to emerge to the surface, the young men will make a shocking discovery concerning why Paris' underground cemetery has been called "the city of the dead."

Necropolis - City of the DeadThe cast includes Perdita Weeks, Ben Feldman, Edwin Hodge, François Civil, Marion Lambert, Cosme Castro, Ali Marhyar, and Roger Van Hool.
Production was handled by Thomas Tull, Patrick Aiello, Jon Jashni, Drew Dowdle, and Alex Hedlund.
In 2007, another film was made about the underground cemetery in Paris: Catacombs - The World of the Dead By Tomm Coker and David Elliot.
