Plot - Through a video diary, Karen traces the most important moments of her life: from childhood to her first loves and the scandal that engulfed her, bringing out a deep fascination with death and corpses, an obsession that has always accompanied her.
In the 1970s, 20-year-old Karen Greenlee worked as an embalmer at a funeral home in California. In 1979 she ended up in jail for stealing the hearse carrying the body of a 33-year-old man and then having sex with it. The woman was found days later with a written confession in which she spoke of her strong attraction to dead bodies and which led her to perform necrophilic acts, a sexual perversion she described as an "addiction."
After giving a lengthy interview in 1987, she changed her identity and moved to another city.
His story inspired the short story "We So Seldom Look On Love” (by Barbara Gowdy) to whom in turn was dedicated the Canadian film Kissed directed by Lynne Stopkewich in 1996.
