John A. Russo, the screenwriter of the masterpiece Night of the Living Dead, has been involved in directing a new horror film entitled. My Uncle John Is a Zombie!, currently in post-production. In the cast of this new project, the trailer for which is already available, are familiar faces of the horror film scene such as Lloyd Kaufman, the king of Troma and one of the heroines of this label namely the scream queen Debbie Rochon.
Abstract: An old zombie (director John A. Russo) has been kept hidden by his grandchildren for over forty years. The living dead becomes famous when people, after discovering him, learn that he can also communicate and reason just as if he were alive. Zombie hunters, however, want to kidnap and exterminate him.
The cast of My Uncle John Is a Zombie! consists of John A. Russo himself, Gary Lee Vincent, Cy-Fi, Lloyd Kaufman, Debbie Rochon, Chuck Corby, Sarah Corby, Sarah French, Russ Streiner, Danielle Inks, George Kosana, Alexander Shields, Nicholas Knight, Brad Roberts, and Nicole Roberts. The screenplay is by Russo.
Recall that in the past John A. Russo also worked on the script of the Return of the living dead by Dan O'Bannon and directed Heartstopper, Santa Claws, Midnight, Midnight 2 and Voodoo Dawn. He is also currently involved in other horror projects from the titles Midnight (announced) and Escape of the Living Dead (in pre-production).
