Colin O'Brien (Wonka, The Mothership) and Cyrus Arnold (Run Hide Fight - Under Siege) have joined the cast of Mr. Harrigan's Phone, a film adaptation of the short story of the same name featured in the anthology If the blood flows (2020) by Stephen King.
John Lee Hancock (The Founder, Until the Last Clue) has been assigned the script and direction, while Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Silent Night), Joe Tippett (The Morning Show), John Lee Hancock, Jaeden Martell (IT - 2017) and Donald Sutherland (Killer Fire) are already confirmed in the cast.
The story sheds light on Craig (Jaeden Martell), a boy living in a small town and his friendship with the elderly and reclusive billionaire Mr. Harrigan (Donald Sutherland). A very strong bond will form between the two through books and especially through a phone: a smartphone with which the boy can communicate with Mr. Harrigan after the latter's death.
Targeted by Netflix, Mr. Harrigan's Phone was announced last October and is expected to be released in 2022.
