As already mentioned in March, Model Hunger sarà disponibile in formato DVD a partire dal prossimo 12 luglio grazie a WildEye Releasing. Il film segna l'esordio alla regia della scream queen Debbie Rochon, attrice canadese molto nota nel mondo del cinema indipendente horror, soprattutto per quello targato Troma.
Model Hunger also boasts in the cast Lynn Lowry, the U.S. actress who played Nurse Forsythe in Shivers - A demon under the skin (1975) by David Cronenberg.
Plot: Ginny (Lynn Lowry) is a 50-year-old woman who still suffers from being rejected as a young woman, both as an actress and as a pin-up model. Over the years she has therefore accumulated so much anger and desire for revenge that she is now out of control. Her new neighbors, Debbie (Tiffany Shepis) and Sal (Carmine Capobianco), intrigued by her strange lifestyle, will try to find out more about her.
In Model Hunger there are two other well-known scream queens: Tiffany Shepis (Night of the Demons - remake) and Suzi Lorraine (Dead of the Nite). Lynn Lowry, Carmine Capobianco, Brian Fortune, Robert Bozek, Kaylee Williams, Aurelius Voltaire and Lisa Dee complete the cast.
Extras on the DVD also include a lengthy commentary by Debbie Rochon, deleted scenes, interviews, and more. The price is $19.95.
