Started today November 1, 2014 with duration until January 1, 2015 The crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to support Mixed Blood (8 different ethnic communities. 8 cities. 8 directors. 8 episodes.), the horror collective conceived by director Davide Scovazzo (During death). Mixed Blood will address the theme of ethnicity, understood as an ethnic community embedded in our country. The film consists of eight episodes directed by as many directors and will deal with customs, traditions, culture and religion of communities different from our own. Each segment, lasting about 10 to 15 minutes, will focus on an Italian city, dealing with the ethnicity present there.
The common thread of the eight episodes is blood, which not only serves the function of uniting the various stories with different ethnicities but also gives that macabre touch to the story. From the North to the South, Mixed Blood will be a horror journey through all of Italy. It promises to be a very interesting and original horror anthology therefore that stems from the observation of what surrounds us, in this case ethnicities, transforming it into cinematic language. The film, which involves very important names from the independent horror scene, embraces the various communities as an integral part of this society, as a mixture that is then also reflected in the title of the work.
Below are the names of the directors involved, the title of their episode, and the city and ethnicity covered in this first multi-ethnic Italian horror film.
