Eagle Pictures has released the Italian trailer for Midsommar - Village of the Damned, l'horror sul culto pagano scritto e diretto da Ari Aster (Hereditary). The film will be released in Italian theaters on July 25 thanks to Eagle Pictures.
Presented as a post-apocalyptic "Scandinavian Folk Horror" and compared by the director himself to The Wicker Man and to Alice in Wonderland, Midsommar addresses the theme of midsummer, a very important holiday in the culture of Scandinavian and Baltic countries.
Plot: On the occasion of the traditional "Midsummer Festival," Dani (Florence Pugh) and Christian (Jack Reynor) reach a Swedish village where their friend Josh (Will Poulter) will be waiting for them. The summer vacation, however, soon turns into an increasingly bizarre and violent competition because of a pagan cult practiced there.
In the cast of Midsommar there are Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, William Jackson Harper, Will Poulter, Vilhem Blomgren, Ellora Torchia, and Archie Madekwe.
