Michael Hargrove è Candyman "Sherman Fields" nell'horror Candyman by Nia DaCosta in the new image above. Indeed, it would appear that the legend of the new film refers to more than one Candyman and not just one as in previous chapters of the franchise.

Directed by Nia DaCosta (Little Woods) and starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Candyman will arrive in Italian theaters on August 26 with Eagle Pictures.
Candyman was billed as the "spiritual sequel" to Bernard Rose's Candyman - Terror Behind the Mirror (1992).
The story of this new chapter takes place in the blighted Cabrini-Green where Candyman was murdered. Here the residents of the neighborhood have always been terrified by word of mouth of a story about a supernatural killer with a hook for a hand and who can be summoned by those who dare to repeat his name five times in front of a mirror.
Ten years later, visual artist Anthony McCoy (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) moves right into a Cabrini apartment building with girlfriend Brianna Cartwright (Teyonah Parris), the director of an art gallery. Intrigued by the legend about Candyman, the man dedicates an artwork to him and unwittingly opens a doorway into the past that not only endangers his sanity but also triggers a series of terrifying and bloody events.
The screenplay of Candyman is a collaboration between Jordan Peele and Win Rosenfeld while the cast includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman), Colman Domingo, Teyonah Parris, Kyle Kaminsky, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Nadia Simms and Aaron Crippen.
The film is produced by Jordan Peele (Escape - Get Out, Us) in collaboration with MGM/Universal.
