Universal Pictures has released the official trailer for Megan (M3GAN), horror film about a realistic doll with artificial intelligence.
Produced by Blumhouse and James Wan (Dead Silence, Death Sentence, Malignant), the creator of such hit sagas as Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring, M3gan is directed by Gerard Johnstone (Housebound) and will debut in U.S. theaters on January 13, 2023.
Plot: Gemma (Allison Williams) is a brilliant robotics expert working for a toy company where she creates M3GAN, a realistic doll with artificial intelligence and programmed to be a child's greatest friend and parent's greatest ally.
After unexpectedly gaining custody of her eight-year-old orphaned granddaughter, Gemma decides to use her M3GAN prototype to get help with the child but her decision will have unimaginable consequences.
In the cast of M3gan: Allison Williams (Escape - Get Out), Ronny Chieng (Godzilla vs. Kong), Violet McGraw, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Arlo Green, Jen Van Epps, Stephane Garneau-Monten, Michael Saccente and Kimberley Crossman.
Written by Akela Cooper, the screenplay is based on a story by James Wan.
