After the premiere of Pearl at the Toronto Film Festival, Ti West (The House of the Devil, The Innkeepers) took the opportunity to announce MaXXXine, the third and final chapter of the saga X, initiated with X - A Sexy Horror Story.
A24 has already released, online, the teaser trailer which you can find at the bottom of the article.
We remember you that Pearl (2022) is the prequel to the horror slasher X (2022) and centers on the character Pearl, the elderly woman played by Mia Goth (Marrowbone, Suspiria) in the first chapter. In the prequel, however, we find the actress in the role of an ambitious young woman living with her parents, and the story takes place in 1918.
Pearl will debut in U.S. theaters on September 16, 2022 while the Italian release date has not yet been announced.
Mia Goth will also return to the cast of the sequel MaXXXine to play the role of Maxine again after the events of X. The girl will continue to chase success by trying to be an actress in 1980s Los Angeles.
The screenplay and direction of this latest installment of the trilogy will be by Ti West.
