"Shockproof presents MARIANO BAINO” è il titolo dell'evento organizzato dalla Cineteca Nazionale (uno dei più importanti archivi cinematografici del mondo) per celebrare il cinema del regista Mariano Baino e durante il quale ci sarà una retrospettiva dei suoi lavori. L'appuntamento è fissato a Friday, November 17 (a partire dalle ore 19:00), presso la Cineteca Nazionale, Cinema Trevi, Vicolo Del Puttarello, 25, Roma. L'ingresso è gratuito.
Following the great success on the international market of the cult Dark Waters (defined by the newspaper La Repubblica as "un autentico oggetto di venerazione per gli appassionati dell'horror"), CINETECA NAZIONALE and the brand new distribution label SHOCKPROOF, celebrate the work of this visionary filmmaker with an evening of screenings entirely dedicated to his work.
Dark Waters is a feature-length horror film directed by Mariano Baino in 1994 and distribuito recentemente in Italia da Shockproof in un'edizione speciale.
During the evening of the November 17 saranno presenti il regista e Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni, quest'ultima eccezionale protagonista del nuovissimo cortometraggio diretto da Baino, LADY M 5.1, as well as the main character in the film ASTRID'S SAINTS (di cui i due parleranno durante l'incontro con il pubblico).
L'incontro sarà moderato da Michele De Angelis che, insieme a Simone Starace, è il fondatore della casa di distribuzione Shockproof, la nuova label italiana che punta al recupero e alla distribuzione di film horror italiani (e non) sia nel settore Home Entertainment che sulle piattaforme digitali VOD.

LADY M 5.1 is a film adaptation of the monologue by Lady Macbeth (act 5, scene 1). The film stars Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni (Demons 2, Opera, The Woods1, Ghost Son), whose character will experience one of her most tragic moments, wrapped in the surrealism of the setting populated by fantastic creatures.
LADY M 5.1 è stato onorato con una prima mondiale al prestigiosissimo Mana Contemporary Museum di New York, accompagnato, per l'occasione, da una monumentale istallazione multimediale, creata da Baino e Cataldi-Tassoni. Il film è stato inoltre presentato, in anteprima europea, al Museo D'Arte Contemporanea di Roma.

After the death of her father, young Elizabeth discovers that her parent has for years donated significant sums to a mysterious monastery located on a remote Black Sea island. In that very place, where nuns practice a dark primordial cult, the young woman will meet her destiny.
