Come Horsehead, Echoes, The Nightmare, Dead Awake, Be Afraid and Slumber - Il Demone del sonno, also Mara affronta l'inquietante paralisi ipnagogica. Scritto da Jonathan Frank, Mara is the first feature film directed by Clive Tonge, author of the horror shorts Emily and the Baba Yaga (2005) e Sunday Best (2011).
The film boasts, in the cast, the presence of Javier Botet, the prolific actor known for playing some of the most monstrous creatures in horror cinematography (REC, The Mother, Don't knock on that door, The Conjuring - Il caso Enfield, It, Insidious: The Last Key, Hostile...). In Mara, Botet will be the sleep demon tormenting the protagonist.

Sinossi: una donna è accusata di aver ucciso il marito nel sonno. La psicologa criminale Kate Fuller (Olga Kurylenko) ha il compito di occuparsi del caso ma le ricerche la porteranno a scontrarsi con un antico demone (Javier Botet) che uccide le persone durante l'attività onirica. Inoltre Kate inizia a sperimentare sulla propria pelle gli stessi sintomi avuti durante la paralisi del sonno da tutte le vittime.
