Warner Bros. Pictures has shared the new trailer for. Malignant, the horror film that will arrive in Italian theaters on September 2, 2021.
Directed by James Wan (Dead Silence, Death Sentence), the creator of such successful sagas as Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring, Malignat is a love letter to horror and mystery, an old school film with abundant practical effects.
In fact, the director said, "... I am a big fan of films similar to The eyes of Laura Mars. I wanted to do my own version, adding my love for Brian De Palma, Dario Argento and Mario Bava." "The goal was to go back to my indie horror roots and, at the same time, do something I had never done before."
In Malignant, Annabelle Wallis is Madison, a woman paralyzed by visions of horrible murders. Her malaise worsens once she discovers that these daydreams are real and therefore doubly terrifying.
In addition to Annabelle Wallis (Annabelle), the cast also includes Jake Abel, Maddie Hasson (The Summoning - We Summon the Darkness), Michole Briana White, George Young, Jacqueline McKenzie and Ingrid Bisu (The Nun - The Calling of Evil). The latter also rejoins the Malignant crew as co-writer and executive producer.
The film is co-written and co-produced by James Wan himself with his Atomic Monster, while Richard Brener, Eric McLeod, Judson Scott and Peter Luo of Starlight Media are the executive producers.
