Disney has released the first teaser poster of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the sequel to the film starring Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning, as well as the live-action remake/spin-off of the Disney classic Sleeping Beauty in the Woods. Alla regia di questo nuovo capitolo c'è Joachim Rønning (Pirati dei Caraibi - La vendetta di Salazar). Oltre al poster è stata annunciata una nuova data di uscita.
Originally set for May 29, 2020, the release date has been advanced to October 18, 2019.
Angelina Jolie (Interrupted Girls) and Elle Fanning (The Neon Demon) will again play the roles of Maleficent and Princess Aurora. Sam Riley (Byzantium, PPZ: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), on the other hand, will reprise the role of Fosco.
Lesley Manville, Juno Temple and Imelda Staunton are still the three fairies, Fiorina, Verdelia and Giuggiola, respectively.
The cast also includes Michelle Pfeiffer (Ladyhawke, Mother!), here as Queen Ingrith. The aforementioned actors are joined by Chiwetel Ejiofor (Survivors), Ed Skrein (Deadpool, The Iron Throne), Jenn Murray (Dorothy Mills), Robert Lindsay and Harris Dickinson.
The screenplay of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is by Linda Woolverton (Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast), Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster. Producing the film instead is Angelina Jolie along with Joe Roth (Alice Through the Looking Glass, The Great and Powerful Oz, Maleficent).
Released in Italian theaters on May 28, 2014, Maleficent showed the audience the events that led a young fairy creature to turn into a wicked witch and cast a curse against little Princess Aurora.
Set several years later, the sequel continues to explore the relationship between Maleficent and the future Queen. Meanwhile, there will be new alliances and new adversaries to face to protect the moors and all the magical creatures that inhabit them.
