The thriller Mademoiselle (aka The Handmaiden, Ah-ga-ssi) comes to DVD in Mustang/Other Stories edition. October 6 while it will be available on Blu-ray from November.
Mademoiselle is the new film by Park Chan-wook, the director of the Revenge trilogy (Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy and Lady Vendetta) but also of Thirst and Stoker. Ispirato al romanzo inglese "Thief" (“Fingersmith") by British author Sarah Waters, Mademoiselle Is a thriller-erotic with noir undertones.
Plot: 1930s, Korea. Sook-Hee (Tae Ri Kim) is a Japanese girl who is hired as a maid by the young heiress Hideko (Min-hee Kim). The maidservant is actually a pickpocket recruited by a con man posing as a Japanese count. Sook-Hee is to help him seduce the noble girl, then rob her of her possessions and lock her up in an asylum. The plan seems to proceed as planned until the maid and her lady discover strong and engaging unexpected emotions.
The cast of Mademoiselle (Corea del Sud - 2016) è composto da Min-hee Kim, Jung-woo Ha, Jin-woong Jo, Tae Ri Kim, So-ri Moon e Hae-suk Kim.
