On February 15, EuroObscura will present the Italian post-apocalyptic film Mad Macbeth (link to review) and the Spanish thriller Paraiso Resort allo European Film Market (EFM) del Festival del Cinema di Berlino. Durante l'evento inoltre, saranno presentati in anteprima gli horror Kyrsya - Tuftland and Phobia (review here).
Directed by Domiziano Cristopharo (Red Krokodil, House of Flesh Mannequins, Virus: Extreme Contamination), Mad Macbeth (Italia, Kosovo - 2018) è un action fantascientifico con sfumature horror e con atmosfere che attingono alla cinematografia ottantiana. La sceneggiatura del film (liberamente ispirato al Macbeth Shakespearean), was written by Antonio Tentori (A Cat in the Brain, Frankenstein 2000, Dracula 3D, Virus: Extreme Contamination).
In a world ravaged by war, several Kosovar gypsy tribes fight over the crown of King Dushkan. After succeeding his ancestor and reincarnating as him, Macbeth learns a terrible secret linked to the military base he has taken possession of..

Paraiso Resort (Spagna - 2017) è un terrificante thriller che vede alla regia Enrique GarcÃa. Il regista ha anche collaborato alla sceneggiatura insieme a Pablo DÃaz e ad Isa Sánchez. Ispirato a film come Cape Fear and Shining, Paraiso Resort è vincitore degli award "Best Movie" e "Best Director" al Festival De Cine De Terror di Costa Del Sol.
The protagonists of the story are a couple (Pablo and Eva) who are trapped in a resort with a psychopathic security guard.
The film stars Rafa Castillo, Virginia De Morata, and Hector Medina.

Kyrsyä - Tuftland is a Finnish horror film written and directed by actor Roope Olenius (Bunny the Killer Thing). The film mixes thriller, mystery, and horror with a dash of black humor and pays homage to films such as Rosemary's Baby and The Wicker Man.
Plot: To overcome the problems in her life, Irina (Veera W. Vilo) accepts a summer job at an isolated village in Kyrsyä. Here the vast Finnish forest and will slowly begin to reveal its true nature to the young student.

Phobia It is a collective horror film involving 15 international directors who, in their episodes, have dealt with and developed a specific phobia in an original way.
Il film affronta dunque 14 insolite manifestazioni psicopatologiche (Somniphobia, Mageirocophobia, Misophobia, Pharmacophobia, Oneirophobia, Astrophobia, Gerascophobia...), disturbi che, nei casi più gravi, limitano drasticamente l’autonomia del soggetto che ne soffre.
