Finished the post-production of Mad Macbeth by Domiziano Cristopharo (Red Krokodil, House of Flesh Mannequins, Virus: Extreme Contamination), the post-apocalyptic previously titled Rimisherim and loosely based on the Macbeth Shakespearean. We also reveal, as a preview, some new stills and the official poster of the film whose screenplay is by Antonio Tentori (A Cat in the Brain, Frankenstein 2000, Dracula 3D, Virus: Extreme Contamination).
Mad Macbeth draws on the dark atmospheres typical of the Macbeth literary and is set in a post atomic future recalling in a personal way the atmospheres of 1980s cinematography, particularly that of Lucio Fulci, Antonio Margheriti and Enzo G. Castellari.
Plot: In a war-torn world, a number of Kosovan gypsy tribes vie for the crown of King Dushkan. Once he succeeds his ancestor and is reincarnated as him, Macbeth will learn a terrible secret related to the military base he has taken possession of.
In the cast: Hasan Lushi, Halil Budakova, Merita Budakova, Edi Lushi, Leonard Tahiraj, and Kathrin Woodtli.
Filmed in Kosovo, Mad Macbeth sarà distribuito nel 2017. Intanto è prevista un'anteprima del film nel mese di dicembre e poi un tour nei festival internazionali.
