Presented as the first "Swissploitation" film, Mad Heidi is produced by Tero Kaukomaa (Iron Sky) together with Valentin Greutert (Paradise War) and features Swiss newcomer director Johannes Hartmann as director.
This is a parody film centered on Heidi, the character from the animated series of the same name produced in 1974 and based on the children's novel written in 1880 by Swiss author Johanna Spyri.

Plot: Now grown up, Heidi (Alice Lucy) is an Alpine girl in an alternative Switzerland that has fallen under fascist rule. Her desire for freedom will be the spark that ignites a revolution against the fascist dictatorship.
The cast includes Alice Lucy, Casper Van Dien, David Schofield, Leon Herbert, Almar G. Sato, Pascal Ulli, Julia Föry, Milo Moiré, Katja Kolm, and Max Rüdlinger.
The screenplay is by Trent Haaga, Johannes Hartmann and Sandro Klopfstein.
