Italian director Domiziano Cristopharo has posted on his Facebook page a very first teaser poster of Macbeth. This is a new film project that sees him collaborating once again with Filmon Aggujaro (Bloody Sin) and Halil Budakova (Virus: Extreme Contamination).
The Macbeth di Cristopharo porterà sullo schermo il lato più oscuro dell'opera di Shakespeare riproponendo le cupe atmosfere tipiche del Macbeth letterario. Non mancheranno inoltre rimandi e omaggi alla letteratura horror di Howard Phillips Lovecraft and to Gothic filmography, here revisited in a modern key.
The film will be shot in July in Kosovo, in Albanian. The screenplay by Macbeth will be edited by historian screenwriter Antonio Tentori, who in the past has written for Lucio Fulci and Bruno Mattei and most recently the screenplay for Virus: Extreme Contamination.
