The American remake of Livid, the evocative and masterful French horror film directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury (À l'intérieur), is on hold for the time being.
Indeed, it appears that this remake, announced as much as two years ago and christened as Livid, has encountered difficulties in its implementation.
It is, of course, the hope of fans of this remarkable French film that the American project will be shelved, given the futility of the many remakes that turn out to be nothing more than plagiarism of the original films.
Currently, Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury are involved in the anthology film ABC's of Death 2, scheduled for release in October 2014.
Aux yeux des vivants (Among the Living) is instead the title of the French duo's new feature film and which was screened last month at the Fantasia Film Festival. The film is described as a mix between Stand By Me, Don't Open That Door and It. The release date is yet to be determined.
