As mentioned last July (link to news story), director Jared Cohn was in charge of directing Little Dead Rotting Hood (USA - 2016), the new horror film retelling of the fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood" by the Brothers Grimm. These days the trailer for the film was released accompanied by the poster in which the protagonist of the classic children's tale appears.
As can be seen from the poster and the trailer, the characters and thus also the story have been twisted in order to give the film a personal and original touch.
Abstract: Residents of a small town fall victim to monstrous and ferocious creatures hiding in the woods. The local sheriff will try to understand why the wolves living in the forest have become so aggressive and dangerous. Young Samantha, in her own way, will also try to help so that the horror will stop.
Of the screenplay of Little Dead Rotting Hood Gabriel Campisi was in charge while David Michael Latt's name appears in the film's production. The cast consists of Bianca A. Santos (Ouija), Eric Balfour (Skyline), Romeo Miller, Patrick Muldoon (Starship Troopers, Stigmata), Heather Tom (The Horror Vault) and Marina Sirtis (Waxwork 2 - Welcome Back to the Wax Museum, Speed Demons).
Little Dead Rotting Hood will be available on DVD (Cinedigm and The Asylum) starting next January 5, 2016.
