After the teaser poster released last month, the Italian extreme project entitled Sacrifice, is enriched with a new name in the cast and more stills. Directing this extreme horror film (which will probably be followed by other chapters) is Poison Rouge, an Italian actress, model, athlete and performer, here making her debut in the directing booth.
The film, which recently began shooting in Bulgaria, is inspired by the Japanese gore franchise conceived by Hideshi Hino in 1985 and stars Roberto Scorza, a stage actor here in his film debut. The newcomer alongside him is newcomer Flora Giannattasio.
The script, on the other hand, is by Samuel Marolla, author of the comic book "Notturno Newyorkese" published by Bonelli and containing drawings by Max Avogadro.
Plot: A boy (Roberto Scorza) self-harming and addicted to drugs takes refuge in his world of pain. His unhealthy love of suffering will lead him down a path of wounds, cuts, blood and death wish. In the darkness of his mind he will try to make sense of his life now pushed too far over the edge.
Recall that Poison Rouge's filmography includes several Italian horror films including House of Flesh Mannequins and Hyde's Secret Nightmare by Domiziano Cristopharo and L'Appeso by F. Dominedò.
