Universal Pictures ha diffuso, online, il secondo trailer ufficiale italiano de The Exorcist: The Believer, il primo film della trilogia sequel de The Exorcist (1973). Scritto da Peter Sattler e Scott Teems, The Exorcist: The Believer (aka The Exorcist: Believer) is based on the novel of the same name by William Peter Blatty and is directed by David Gordon Green (Halloween, Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends).
Il film arriverà nelle sale italiane il 6 ottobre con Universal Pictures.
The story sheds light on two little girls possessed by an evil entity. Desperate for help, the father of one of the two (Leslie Odom Jr.) will seek help from Mrs. Chris MacNeill (Ellen Burstyn), whose daughter Regan was possessed by Pazuzu many years earlier.
In the cast of The Exorcist: The Believer ci sono Raphael Sbarge (L’alieno 2, Independence Day, Pearl Harbor), Olivia Marcum, Lidya Jewett (Nightbooks – Racconti di paura), Leslie Odom Jr., Ann Dowd (Hereditary) ed Ellen Burstyn. Quest’ultima nuovamente nel ruolo della madre di Regan, personaggio da lei già interpretato nel film di William Friedkin.
In the United States, the MPAA awarded the film an R censorship visa (ban on minors for "violence, gruesome images, strong language and sexual references").
