According to what was revealed by Deadline, nel 2021 arriverà al cinema il reboot del cult The Exorcist, il celebre horror sulla possessione diabolica scritto da William Peter Blatty e diretto da William Friedkin nel 1973. Il nuovo film sarebbe in lavorazione nello studio Morgan Creek Entertainment.
La notizia del reboot compare fra i vari progetti attualmente in sviluppo presso la Warner Bros., fra cui è presente anche il remake di Inseparable con protagonista Rachel Weisz.
