In an interview with ComicBook, Steven Kostanski (The Void, Leprechaun Returns - 2018) revealed that he is available to direct a new chapter in the saga about the treacherous leprechaun: "No sequel has been announced but, if they were to do so, I would love to take on the directing of another chapter. Directing Leprechaun Returns for me was a great experience; it gave me a way to appreciate the saga more, and I think it is possible to continue the story."
Written by Suzanne Keilly and directed by Steven Kostanski (The Void), Leprechaun Returns (2018) is the direct sequel to Leprechaun (1993), the first chapter in the saga about the infernal leprechaun.
Plot: the deadly and evil leprechaun has returned to spread horror and death. When two girls from the Alpha Upsilon sorority decide to use an old well as a water source, they unwittingly awaken the evil leprechaun. The leprechaun covets a pot of gold buried right next to the sorority, but first he must recover his powers with a killing spree. Only the AU girls can stop him.
Currently the saga on the harem is as follows: Leprechaun (1993) and 5 sequels: Leprechaun 2 (1994), Leprechaun 3 (1995), Leprechaun 4: In Space (1997), Leprechaun in the Hood (2000) e Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood (2003).
In 2014, the reboot Leprechaun: Origins while Leprechaun Returns (2018) is a direct sequel to the original film.
