Leprechaun OriginsLa WWE Studios (a film studio owned by pro wrestling company World Wrestling Entertainment) and the Lionsgate have reached an agreement to co-produce the remake of the first installment of the saga devoted to the evil sprite of British folk lore.

Leprechaun: Origins (this is the title of the film that should see the light of day in U.S. theaters in March 2013) will be a reboot of the first (dated 1993) of the six films that make up the original series and will feature the wrestler in the lead role Hornswoggle (real name Dylan Postl), in his acting debut.

The rest of the cast has not yet been chosen, and what is currently leaking out is that the film is expected to differ from the original at least chronologically, since it appears that the events narrated will relate to the origins of the diabolical goblin.
