Leatherface, the new chapter in the franchise of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, features another promotional poster that you can find in the lower right corner.
The film is a prequel and is placed before Don't open that door (1974) by Tobe Hooper, focusing on the teenage period of "leatherface" and the causes that led the protagonist to become a homicidal madman. In fact, the story centers on Jackson (who grows up to be Leatherface), a boy who escapes from the asylum with three other patients by taking a nurse hostage.
Interest in this film, which will be released in 2016, is mainly sparked by the direction. Leatherface in fact it is directed by the extraordinary Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, the well-known French directors who in the past have given us such films as Inside (À l'intérieur) e Livid.
Seth M. Sherwood, on the other hand, handled the screenplay.
The cast includes Sam Strike, Lili Taylor (The Addiction - Vampires in New York, The Conjuring), Stephen Dorff (Blade), Nicole Andrews, Sam Coleman, Julian Kostov, Vanessa Grasse and James Bloor.
