After the Italian poster revealed last week (link to news story), sono stati diffusi un'altra locandina e alcune still di Leatherface, the new chapter on Leatherface. Written by Seth M. Sherwood and directed by Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, the directors of Inside and Livid, Leatherface is the prequel to Don't open that door (1974).
This new chapter in the franchise The Texas Chainsaw Massacre will make its world premiere in Italian theaters on September 14, 2017 with M2 Pictures.
Leatherface fa luce sulle origini dell’iconico personaggio della saga. La trama infatti è la seguente: in Texas, la figlia dello sceriffo (Stephen Dorff) perde la vita in un incidente che non convince la polizia. I sospetti della sua tragica morte cadono sul figlio minorenne dei Sawyer, motivo per cui il ragazzo viene rinchiuso in un centro di igiene mentale. Dieci anni dopo, il giovane rapisce un’infermiera (Vanessa Grasse) ed evade dall'ospedale psichiatrico insieme ad altri tre pazienti. Perseguitato dalle autorità e dallo sceriffo che lo considera l'assassino della figlia, l’ex internato si trasformerà , pian piano, in un mostro senza scrupoli.
