A few weeks after the Italian theatrical release of Leatherface, spunta in rete un nuovo poster internazionale. Come già riportato nell'articolo dedicato alla September programming in cinemas, Leatherface (USA - 2017) esordirà nei cinema italiani il 14 settembre, in anteprima mondiale, con M2 Pictures.
Leatherface is a chapter that sheds light on the origins of Leatherface, the iconic character in the famous franchise The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Whose first chapter, Don't open that door (Tobe Hooper), dates back to 1974. Leatherface is written by Seth M. Sherwood and is directed by Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, the directors of Inside and Livid.
Texas. La figlia dello sceriffo Hal Hartman (Stephen Dorff) muore tragicamente in un incidente che però non convince la polizia. Il figlio minorenne dei Sawyer viene considerato colpevole della sua morte e, per questo, rinchiuso in un ospedale psichiatrico. Dieci anni dopo, ormai cresciuto, il giovane rapisce un’infermiera (Vanessa Grasse) ed evade dal manicomio insieme ad altri tre pazienti. Perseguitato dalle autorità e dallo sceriffo, l’ex internato si trasformerà , nel tempo, in uno feroce assassino: "Faccia di cuoio".
The cast includes: Stephen Dorff (Blade), Sam Coleman, Lili Taylor (The Addiction - Vampires in New York, The Conjuring), Jessica Madsen, Sam Strike, James Bloor, Vanessa Grasse, Nicole Andrews and Julian Kostov.
Millennium Films appears in the production of the film along with Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman and Carl Mazzacone (Lionsgate).
