L'horror psicologico Last Night in Soho will debut in U.S. theaters on April 21, 2021 with Focus Features. According to what the director himself revealed on his Twitter profile, the delay related to the release date (initially set for September 25, 2020), is due to post-production problems caused by the pandemic.
Directed by Edgar Wright (Dawn of the Demented Dead, Hot Fuzz), Last Night in Soho stars Thomasin McKenzie (The Hobbit - The Battle of the Five Armies) and Anya Taylor-Joy (The VVitch, Glass).
La storia è ambientata negli anni '60, nel quartiere londinese di Soho. Ossessionata dall’epoca in cui vive, Eloise (Thomasin McKenzie) stringerà un’insolita relazione con Sandy (Anya Taylor-Joy) per vivere insieme a lei quel periodo storico da lei tanto amato.
The screenplay for the film is by Edgar Wright in collaboration with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (Penny Dreadful). Among the sources of inspiration, the director cited. In Venice... a shocking red December by Nicolas Roeg and Repulsion by Roman Polanski.
Terrance Stamp (Superman) and Matt Smith (Patient Zero) are also part of the cast.
