The official trailer has been released for Last Chance Motel, a slasher horror film written and directed by Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor-Compton, both known for their involvement in the Halloween franchise and also starring in the film.
Laced with black humor, the film pays homage to classic slashers while adding a more modern psychological edge.
Last Chance Motel will be released directly on digital platforms in the U.S. on October 6, 2026.
The story follows a newlywed couple whose dream wedding turns into a blood-soaked nightmare. They soon discover that their secluded wedding venue, a desolate motel deep in the Nevada desert, is run by a family of psychopaths hiding dark secrets.
"We knew exactly what kind of film the genre is missing right now: a tight, mean, character-driven slasher...”, said Harris. "We've been on the receiving end of the camera for 40 years between us. We know what works. We know what fans actually want to see. Last Chance Motel is built from that DNA".
The cast also includes Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Sierra McCormick (The Vast of Night), Zachary Roozen (Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence), Robert Allen Mukes (House of 1000 Corpses), Shane West (Salem), and Monica Keena (Freddy vs. Jason), alongside Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor-Compton.
