These days director and screenwriter Fede Alvarez (The House - remake, Man in the Dark) announced that he has completed writing the script for his next project: Labyrinth 2, the sequel to the 1986 film starring Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie. Alvarez hinted at the script during a tour promoting his latest film work (Millennium - The One Who Doesn't Kill).
Labyrinth 2 therefore will take place and the story will be a continuation (more than 30 years later) of the events covered in the 1986 dark fairy tale directed by Jim Henson, also known for being the inventor of the Muppet.
Duncan Jones, David Bowie's son, appears in the project as a producer. Fede Alvarez co-wrote the script for the sequel with Jay Basu and is also currently working on the sequel to Man in the Dark (aka Don't Breathe).
Labyrinth - Where anything is possible (1986) tells the story of Sarah (Jennifer Connelly), a 16-year-old girl who, following her wish, has 13 hours to find her little brother Toby. Kidnapped by Jareth (David Bowie), the Goblin King, the child finds himself in a maze that is very difficult to navigate.
