Warner Bros. has released two new official stills from the La Llorona - The Tears of Evil (aka The Curse of La Llorona), horror on the spectrum of Latin American folklore.
In the images, the creature of legend appears as the grieving soul of a woman weeping eternally for the loss of her son. The ghost also constantly wanders in search of her, emitting chilling and heartbreaking screams and wails.

It is "La Llorona," a malevolent entity trapped between Heaven and Hell. Her fault was that she drowned her children in a fit of rage and jealousy and then threw herself into the same river.
Now her tears are eternal and those who hear her deadly call at night will be doomed. La Llorona hunts for children in a desperate attempt to replace her own.
The cast includes Linda Cardellini, Sean Patrick Thomas, Patricia Velasquez, Raymond Cruz, Tony Amendola, John Marshall Jones, Madeleine McGraw, Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen, and Irene Keng. La Llorona is played by Marisol Ramirez.
The screenplay for the film is by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis.
