According to Variety, Hwang Dong-hyuk, the director of the South Korean TV series Squid Game, is grappling with a new project titled Killing Old People Club.
This is a film inspired by a novel by Umberto Eco and will debut on Netflix in late 2024.
Hwang Dong-hyuk ha rivelato che "Killing Old People Club will be more violent than Squid Game”, aggiungendo che potrebbe essere costretto a nascondersi dagli anziani dopo l'uscita del film.
Attualmente il progetto ha il titolo provvisorio “K.O. Club".
L'acclamato creatore della serie TV inoltre ha detto che ora tornerà a casa in Corea del Sud per scrivere la seconda stagione di Squid Game and which he hopes will arrive on Netflix by the end of 2024.
It is not yet known when Killing Old People Club will go into production and it is likely that it will not be until the second season of Squid Game Will be turned around.
Written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, the TV series Squid Game was distributed worldwide on the Netflix streaming platform last September.
Consisting of nine episodes, the series tells the story of a group of people who risk their lives in a deadly game of survival.
Squid Game has been a huge success, confirming itself as the biggest debut among Netflix original series.
