According to BloodyDisgusting, Lars Klevberg, the director of Chucky (USA - 2019), revealed that he would like to start a saga dedicated to the famous Chucky by proceeding with the creation of a sequel.
Remake/reboot of the iconic horror franchise directed by Tom Holland in 1988 , The Killer Doll landed in theaters last year grossing $45 million worldwide on a budget of 10.
Chucky (aka Child's Play) is directed by Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) on a script edited by Tyler Burton (Kung Fury 2).
Plot: for her son Andy's (Gabriel Bateman) birthday, Karen Barclay (Aubrey Plaza) thought of giving him something really special. It is Chucky, a doll with artificial intelligence. The woman, however, is unaware that she has brought home a flawed toy that lacks limits in learning and use of violence and hides an evil naturea.
The cast includes Gabriel Bateman (Lights Out), Aubrey Plaza (Life after Beth), Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta), Beatrice Kitsos (The Exorcist) and Ty Consiglio (Wonder).
The film is produced by David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith, the protectors of EN by Andy Muschietti.
