PRLog has just announced that Kane Hodder has joined the cast of Witchula, il film sulla strega-vampiro che stiamo seguendo sin dai suoi primi sviluppi. Il ruolo che ha trasformato questo noto attore statunitense in un'icona horror è sicuramente quello del villain Jason Voorhees in alcuni capitoli della celebre saga Friday the 13th and, specifically, Friday the 13th: Part VII - Blood flows again (1988), Friday the 13th: Part VIII - Nightmare in Manhattan (1989), Jason goes to hell (1993) e Jason X (2001). Also undoubtedly feeding his celebrity was his performance in the saga Hatchet, in which he is the villainous Victor Crowley.
In Witchula Kane Hodder will also appear as stunt coordinator.
Billed as a powerful horror film designed to satisfy fans of the genre, the film is directed by Marcus Bradford on a script in which the director himself is involved along with Pat Kusnadi.
Witchula is a horror genre film that, in addition to dealing with various figures from the horror scene (vampires, witches, werewolves), also includes a very special hybrid namely that of the witch-vampire. The aforementioned creature will torment a young expectant schoolgirl from whom the monster will try to steal her baby. It will be difficult for the girl to protect him from the diabolical and obsessive presence.
In the cast of Witchula, as well as Kane Hodder (Death House, Wild Game)., other well-known actors in the horror scene are featured. These include Bill Oberst Jr. (Take this Lollipop, The Chair, Death House) and Eileen Dietz (actress who gave Pazuzu the face in the film The Exorcist). The names of the other actors are: Marilyn Ghigliotti, Ruth Reynolds, Tade Adepoyibi, Jeremy Tristan, Destiny Soria, Anil Sankaramanchi, and Joseph Love.
MAB Studios and Silent Studios Productions handled the production of the film. Producers include director Marcus Bradford, screenwriter Pat Kusnadi, and also John Blythe (My Amityville Horror, One Day When the Rains Fell) and Matt Chassin (Krampus - The Christmas Devil, Krampus 2 - The Devil Returns).
