June's programming includes screenings in Italian theaters of the horror films The Conjuring: By Order of the Devil, Spiral: Saw's Legacy and A Quiet Place 2, of the thriller/drama/action OldBoy and psychological horror Run.

JUNE 2.:
On June 2, Warner Bros. Italy brings to theaters The Conjuring: By Order of the Devil, the third chapter of the saga The Conjuring.
Written by David Leslie Johnson (the co-writer of The Conjuring - The Enfield Case) and directed by Michael Chaves (La Llorona - The Tears of Evil), the film marks the return of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, here again in the roles of demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren.
The story of The Conjuring: By Order of the Devil sheds light on one of the Warrens' cases namely that of Arne Johnson, a man who in the 1980s confessed to killing Alan Bono, the homeowner, at the behest of the devil.
Before the murder, Johnson was visited by the Warrens, who ascertained his possession.
Plot: in the U.S., a man accused of murder claims he committed the crime because he was under the influence of demonic possession. Taking an interest in the case will be Mr. and Mrs. Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) but, during the investigation, the two demonologists discover an undefined paranormal activity.
The cast also includes Ruairi O'Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Julian Hilliard.

JUNE 9.:
On June 9, 16 years after its first release, the cult Oldboy (South Korea - 2003) returns to theaters in a restored version with Lucky Red.
Directed by Park Chan-wook, Oldboy is the second chapter of the "Revenge trilogy" begun by the South Korean director and screenwriter with Mr. Vengeance (2002) and concluded with Lady Vendetta (2005).
The protagonist of the story is Oh Dae-su (Choi Min-sik), a man who is kidnapped and locked up in a private prison, not knowing why or how long he will stay there.
After 15 long years, Oh Dae-su is released. With young Mi-Do (Kang Hye-jeong) by his side, the man, blinded by revenge, will try to get on the trail of his captor to solve the mystery of his unjust imprisonment, but the discovery of the truth will only be the beginning of his most heinous and sad nightmare for him.
In the cast: Choi Min-sik (I Saw the Devil), Yoo Ji-tae, Kang Hye-jeong, Ji Dae-han, Oh Dal-su, Lee Dae-yeon, Kim Byeong-ok, Lee Seung-Shin, Yun Jin-seo, Oh Kwang-rok, and Oh Tae-kyung.
The film is based on the Japanese manga of the same name created in 1997 by Nobuaki Minegishi and Garon Tsuchiya.

JUNE 10.:
Thanks to Lucky Red, it makes its theatrical debut on June 10. Run, the psychological horror that shows how a mother's love can become dangerous.
The film is written and directed by Aneesh Chaganty and stars Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story, Ratched) and Kiera Allen.
Plot: for Chloe (Kiera Allen), a mother's love is not reassuring but poses a threat. There is something unnatural, almost sinister about the relationship between Chloe and her mother Diane (Sarah Paulson).
The latter has raised her daughter in total isolation, controlling her every move from birth and keeping her in the dark about her secrets, but the girl, in time, will begin to be suspicious of the woman who cares for her.
The cast also includes Sara Sohn, Pat Healy, Erik Athavale, BJ Harrison, Sharon Bajer and Onalee Ames.
The screenplay of Run is fruits of the collaboration between director Aneesh Chaganty and Sev Ohanian.

JUNE 16:
The horror film Spiral: Saw's Legacy will arrive in Italian theaters on June 16, 2021 with 01 Distribution. Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, Saw III and Saw IV), Spiral: Saw's Legacy is the new chapter in the saga about Jigsaw and stars Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, The Hateful Eight) and Chris Rock. The latter also appears in the crew as executive producer along with Daniel Heffner and the creators of the franchise themselves namely James Wan and Leigh Whannell.
Plot: laving in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash detective Zeke Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner William Schenk (Max Minghella) investigate murders that have brought the city's horrific past to the surface.
Unknowingly ensnared in an ever-deepening mystery, Detective Zeke will find himself caught up in the sick and complicated game of the killer who years earlier sowed terror and death in the city.
In the cast of Spiral: Saw's Legacy also feature Max Minghella (The Black Hour, Horns), Marisol Nichols (Scream 2), Dan Petronijevic, Zoie Palmer, Nazneen Contractor, K.C. Collins and Edie Inksetter.
The film is produced by Mark Burg and Oren Koules while the screenplay is by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg (Jigsaw).

JUNE 24:
A Quiet Place 2, the sequel to the sci-fi horror film A Quiet Place - A Quiet Place (USA - 2018) will arrive in Italian theaters on June 24, 2021 with Eagle Pictures.
Directed by John Krasinski, former author of the original chapter, A Quiet Place 2 (USA - 2020) sheds light on the origins of the chaos that has forced the Abbott family to live in silence and will continue to struggle for survival.
Plot: terrifying and tragic events have forced the Abbott family to live in absolute silence to prevent them from being exterminated by dangerous creatures attracted by noise. Just when the nightmare seems to be over, lo and behold, Evelyn (Emily Blunt) and her children will have to defend themselves not only from the mysterious monsters that hunt using sound but also from a new and disconcerting danger.
The film features part of the cast of A Quiet Place - A Quiet Place namely Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe. They were joined by Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later), Brian Tyree Henry (The Killer Doll - 2019), Lauren-Ashley Cristiano, Djimon Hounsou and Wayne Duvall.
