These days the promotional campaign of Jigsaw, the new chapter of the famous and beloved horror saga Saw created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell. After the official trailer released by Lionsgate, six character posters depicting ordinary people with their faces covered by a mask emulating a pig's head were released yesterday. Earlier today, however, a new official poster was released from San Diego Comic-Con.
Jigsaw comes seven years later Saw 3D - The Final Chapter (2010) and will debut in U.S. theaters on October 27, 2017. Directing it is the duo of Michael and Peter Spierig, the directors of Daybreakers. Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg (Piranha 3D, Sorority Row) instead signed the screenplay.
Plot: Martyred corpses start turning up in the city. The investigation of these heinous crimes, all carried out in different and unique ways, leads the police on the trail of John Kramer, a ruthless killer who, however, has been dead for ten years. The result of the search is therefore inconceivable unless it is a copycat. Complicating matters will be the presence of audio recordings of John Kramer at each crime scene.
Tobin Bell appears in the cast but it is not yet clear whether he will play John Kramer again. The names of the other actors: Laura Vandervoort, Hannah Anderson, Brittany Allen (It stains the Sands Red), Mandela Van Peebles, Callum Keith Rennie, Michael Bolsvert, James Gomez, Matt Passmore, Josiah Black, and Shaquan Lewis.
