These days the first official poster of the Jigsaw, the new installment of the horror franchise Saw whose title was confirmed a few weeks ago (link to news story). With Jigsaw, the famous saga created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell, will thus include eight chapters, the first of which was directed in 2004.
Jigsaw comes seven years later Saw 3D - The Final Chapter (2010) and will debut in U.S. theaters on October 27, 2017.
Directing is by Michael and Peter Spierig (Daybreakers) while the screenplay is a collaboration between Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg (Piranha 3D, Sorority Row).
Tobin Bell (Jigsaw) will be part of the cast. He is joined by Laura Vandervoort, Hannah Anderson, Brittany Allen (It stains the Sands Red), Mandela Van Peebles, Callum Keith Rennie, Matt Passmore, James Gomez, Michael Bolsvert, Josiah Black and Shaquan Lewis.
Plot: Dead bodies still keep turning up in the city. Of these heinous crimes, all carried out in different and unique ways, John Kramer, a man who, however, died ten years earlier, is suspected. The result of the search is, for the police, inconceivable.
