In these hours, the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles has canceled the date (set for Sept. 13) regarding the world premiere of Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral, a film that has raised controversy from the very beginning. During the presentation of this new installment in the Victor Salva franchise, part of the cast and crew from the first two films would be present Jeepers Creepers - The Devil's Song (2001) e Jeepers Creepers 2 - The Devil's Song 2 (2003).
The reasons that prompted TCL Chinese Theater to remove the event from their calendar (being careful to refund all tickets purchased) were the numerous threats of protest against the director, Victor Salva.
According to reports from the HorrorFreakNews, the demonstration aimed at boycotting Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral (and the cinema of the filmmaker in question) would not only take place during the premiere but also at all subsequent screenings of the film.
In fact, according to many, the new chapter in the saga should never see the light of day because of the horrific past events related to Victor Salva, who in 1988 was accused of sexually molesting a minor (the protagonist of Clownhouse, a film directed by the same director in 1989).
