Lo scorso febbraio, l'annuncio della distribuizione in una special edition Blu-ray di Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 2, has raised quite a bit of controversy. The reasons for this are mainly twofold i.e., the two chapters have already been released on Blu-ray and the director, Victor Salva, is a child molester who has been accused of child pornography. The label has thus been accused of supporting a monster who in 1988 abused Nathan Winters, the 12-year-old protagonist of Clownhouse, a film directed by Salva himself.
Ovviamente le proteste ci sono state anche per l'annuncio della realizzazione del terzo capitolo di Jeepers Creepers (Jeepers Creepers 3: third chapter announced), un film che, secondo molti, non dovrebbe mai vedere la luce a causa degli orribili fatti del passato legati a Victor Salva. Nel mese di marzo infatti è stato rimosso in Canada l'annuncio di casting per il terzo capitolo della saga, etichettando come pericolosa la natura del lavoro del regista.
Earlier today, however, the film's production announced that. Jeepers Creepers 3 si farà e che si sta pensando a un modo per distribuire il film negli Stati Uniti. La saga comunque ha dalla sua i fan che riescono a scindere la vita privata di un regista dalla sua carriera lavorativa mentre dall'altra parte c'è chi boicotta il suo cinema.
