Last February, the announcement of the release in a special edition Blu-ray of Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 2, has raised quite a bit of controversy. The reasons for this are mainly twofold i.e., the two chapters have already been released on Blu-ray and the director, Victor Salva, is a child molester who has been accused of child pornography. The label has thus been accused of supporting a monster who in 1988 abused Nathan Winters, the 12-year-old protagonist of Clownhouse, a film directed by Salva himself.
Of course, protests were also there over the announcement of the making of the third chapter of Jeepers Creepers (Jeepers Creepers 3: third chapter announced), a film that many believe should never see the light of day because of the horrific past events related to Victor Salva. In March, in fact, a casting announcement for the third installment of the saga was removed in Canada, labeling the nature of the director's work as dangerous.
Earlier today, however, the film's production announced that. Jeepers Creepers 3 will be made and that a way to distribute the film in the United States is being considered. The saga, however, has on its side the fans who can separate a director's private life from his working career while on the other side there are those who boycott his cinema.
