Il nuovo anno si apre all'insegna dell'horror e vede, programmati nelle sale italiane, due attesi e imperdibili film. Stiamo parlando di The Midnight Man (USA, Canada - 2016), l'horror scritto e diretto da Travis Zariwny e che esordirà nei cinema del nostro Paese l'11 gennaio con Adler Entertainment. Il 18 gennaio invece è la data fissata per la proiezione di Insidious: The Last Key By Adam Robitel.

January 11: The Midnight Man
Written and directed by Travis Zariwny, The Midnight Man gode della presenza, nel cast, dell'icona horror Robert Englund (Nightmare) qui nel ruolo del Dr. Goodberry. In The Midnight Man si dà spazio ad un'entità malvagia in grado di rendere reali gli incubi delle sue vittime.
Protagonista della storia è l'adolescente Alex (Gabrielle Haugh), una ragazza che trova, nella soffitta della nonna (Lin Shaye), le istruzioni per un misterioso gioco in grado di risvegliare "l'uomo di mezzanotte". Ignara delle conseguenze, Alex inizierà a giocare insieme ai suoi amici.
Nel cast troviamo Gabrielle Haugh, Lin Shaye, Grayson Gabriel, Emily Haine, Summer H. Howell, Callie Lane, Keenan Lehmann, Louise Linton, Abigail Pniowsky, Meredith Rose, Michael Sirow, Luca Villacis e Kyle Strauts. Quest'ultimo interpreta "l'uomo di mezzanotte".

January 18: Insidious: The Last Key (aka Insidious: The Last Key)
Trattasi del quarto e ultimo capitolo del franchise horror ideato da James Wan. Alla sceneggiatura del film c’è Leigh Whanell (già sceneggiatore dei primi tre capitoli della saga e regista di Insidious 3) mentre alla regia c'è Adam Robitel, il regista di The Taking of Deborah Logan.
Insidious - The Last Key will debut in theaters distributed by Warner Bros. Entertainment Italy.
The story of Insidious - The Last Key precedes the events of the other chapters and stars parapsychologist Elise Rainer (Lin Shay). This time the paranormal investigator will have to confront the demonic spirits that haunt the family home and will cause her past to resurface.
In the cast: Lin Shaye, Angus Sampson, Leigh Whannell, Caitlin Gerard (Smiley), Josh Stewart (The Neighbor), Hana Hayes, Kirk Acevedo, Marcus Henderson, and Jerrika Hinton.
Involved in the production of the film are Jason Blum (The Purge, Get Out), Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity) and James Wan (director of the first two chapters of the saga namely Insidious and Beyond the Twilight Zone: Insidious 2).
