We present a preview of the first official stills and plot of Jack the St. Ripper (aka Jack the Stripper), the new horror film by Italian-American George Nevada, the director of Scarecrowd (already available for home video thanks to SRS Cinema by Ron Bonk).
Definito come uno "splatter in stile Troma", Jack the St. Ripper is produced by The Enchanted Architect by Domiziano Cristopharo (House of Flesh Mannequins, Bloody Sin, Xpiation) in collaboration with George Nevada's Melting Pictures.
Domiziano Cristopharo also appears in this project as a screenwriter.
For Jack The St. Ripper, Nevada is joined by some of the cast and crew of Scarecrowd: actors Frances Williams, Antony Ferry and Gabrielle Bergere and composer Antony Coia for the soundtrack.
Completing the cast are Cleverson Rodrigues (P.O.E. 4: The Black Cat), Chiara Pavoni (Demonium, Xpiation, POE 4: The Black Cat) e l'esordiente Alexio Coen che nel film di Nevada interpreta il protagonista Jack.
The following is the plot, which is partly reminiscent of Murderock - Uccide a passo di danza and Carrie - Lo sguardo di Satana:
Jack (Alexio Coen), uno spogliarellista, si iscrive in una nuova scuola di danza ma la sua presenza crea sin da subito scompiglio e invidie fra i suoi colleghi. Il giorno dell'audizione il giovane è vittima di uno scherzo in seguito al quale perde il lavoro. Da quel momento, uno ad uno, i suoi rivali verranno uccisi in modo brutale da un misterioso assassino e i sospetti cadranno inevitabilmente su Jack.
The film will feature clear homages to the giallo genre, particularly the filmography of Dario Argento.
