After the news about the U.S. distribution of The Perfect Husband which will take place in July, an Italian release has been announced in recent hours thanks to CG Entertainment. The Perfect Husband will then be available in DVD format, from June 7 for rental while from July 5 for sale. Below right is the cover of the Italian DVD that was recently released.
The Perfect Husband is a horror thriller directed in 2014 by Lucas Pavetto. The Italian director co-wrote the script and screenplay with Massimo Vavassori (Dolcezza Extrema) while Dea Film handled production.
Il film è uscito limitatamente nelle sale italiane nel 2014 e ha ricevuto il Premio Bava alla 34esima edizione del Fantafestival. The Perfect Husband ha vinto altresì diversi premi fra cui quello come "Miglior Lungometraggio" all'Open Wound Horror Film Festival, al Weekend Of Fear e al Vienna Fright Nights.
Plot: Viola (Gabriella Wright) and Nicola (Bret Roberts) reach a chalet to spend a weekend away from the chaos of the city. Here their relationship, already weakened by the loss of their son, falls apart for good. A simple suspicion creeping into the thoughts of one of them will turn the vacation into a nightmare.
The cast includes Bret Roberts, Gabriella Wright, Tania Bambaci, Carl Wharton, Daniel Vivian and Philippe Reinhardt. Music is by Giuseppe Capozzolo while special effects are by Giuseppe Cordivani. Photography is by Davide Manca.
