thousandFour chats with Mila Noizmare, the peculiar Cyber Goth model who also expresses herself through gothic and fetish. Mila talks to us about her passions, her projects and the world of alternative fashion.

L: Who is Mila Noizmare? Can you describe yourself?

M: Mila Noizmare is a crazy, romantic creature who came to this small planet to share her love and happiness with others. To show humans how unique everyone can be and to teach them to love everything around them.

L: Where were you born and where do you currently live? What do the people around you think of you?

M: I was born in Latvia, a beautiful but at the same time depressing country. I love the nature of my country but not its inhabitants who are a nightmare. They are aggressive and closed-minded people. Not all of them of course, but most of them. I moved to the UK about 5 years ago to find a completely different world there, which I love. People here love my art, whatever I do: whether it's dancing, posing or just expressing myself.

L: When did you decide to become a model? Why?

M: Good question. I never decided to go that route but some people really liked my style and so they invited me to participate in a photo shoot. I liked it and so I continue to do it.

thousand4 L: What kind of model are you?

M: Well, I find it really hard to fit myself into definitions. I like different styles at the same time and I love to challenge myself. Most of my shots though are in the gothic, fetish and alternative styles.

L: Can you tell us about the most interesting and special shots you have taken?

M: It was about a month ago, together with my younger sister. I had to look like a "normal" girl and it was really strange for me to look at myself in the mirror, as I did not recognize myself. I was too natural, too feminine, and I felt I wasn't myself. However, it was interesting.

thousand5L: You have many tattoos. What do they mean? What do you think about tattoos and body modification?

M: I currently have 13 tattoos but will have to get more very soon. I love my tattoos because each one has a deep meaning. They represent the story of my life.
At the same time I like body modification but only if it is balanced and relevant to the person. I too often notice people with too many piercings or with horrible tattoos. Therefore I would urge some people to carefully consider what to do and to think about it quite a bit before proceeding in order not to regret it in the future.

L: What do you want to be remembered for?

M: I haven't decided yet. I like too many things and would like to achieve perfection in each of them. It is so difficult when you have many interests and hobbies. I am still too young and full of energy to make it all fit together. We will see how everything will progress on its own as time goes on.

L: Mention two alternative or gothic models you respect.

M: Razor Candi and Ophelia Overdose. Their work is outstanding and so is their look. Everything about them is outstanding.

mila3L: You are in the video clip "dstort" by Milkin Lynn. Can you tell us about this experience and how the collaboration with the band came about?

M: I met Alexi (the band's frontman) through the Internet and was enthusiastic about their musical works. Thus, between chats on Facebook (the medium through which most contacts happen nowadays) our friendship was born. Let me preface this by saying that I care little about money and the difficulties that might lie ahead and instead am open to any kind of new experience. I don't want to come across as cliché, but art is vitally important to me. Whether it is photography, music or anything else.
So when Alexi told me about his idea for a video clip of the song "dstort" and his personal vision of a butterfly cocoon, I agreed without delay. The video was shot in the fall and fortunately it was quite warm despite the fact that, as often happens in England, it was raining that day. So we waited until the rain was over to start with the filming. It was a very crazy and exciting experience that left me with a good impression of the work done with these guys.
Meeting new people is definitely one of the most beneficial aspects of what I do and in fact we have now become very close friends.
Anyway, I recommend Milkin Lynn to those who like heavy and dark music!

L: What do you think about the horror genre? What are your favorite genre films?

M: I see beauty in everything and it doesn't matter whether it is a little fairy or a demonic creature bathed in blood. I like both and draw inspiration from them.
My favorite horror movies are "Silent Hill," "Friday the 13th," "Hellraiser," and "The Ring." Perfect examples of how dark and scary can enjoy their own canons of beauty.

L: What if we talk about music?

M: Music is my life and I couldn't live without it. All my craziest ideas are born with music. My favorite band is Velvet Acid Christ, who are leaving so much to this world. Both music and lyrics are different from the rest of the music scene. They are special, no matter what you listen to.

L: What do you expect from your future?

M: For the time being, I want to continue doing what I do best which is modeling and performing. I need to focus on these expressions and find more publications in the various industry magazines. And certainly among my future plans is to marry the most incredible person I have ever met, which is my beloved boyfriend. He gives me everything I need and I want to do the same for him.

L: If you could send a message to the whole world through your art, what would it be?

M: The picture of a little girl trapped in a hole who, crying, stretches her hands toward the sun's rays as a smile of hope is born on her face...

L: Thank you Mila!
