The trailer for Insidious: Chapter 3, the third installment of the saga started in 2010 by James Wan who also directed the second installment. Insidious: Chapter 3 is written and directed by Leigh Whannell, the very screenwriter of James Wan's two films and in which he was also part of the cast playing Specs.
So in addition to screenwriter and actor, this time Leigh Whannell will also make his debut in the directing booth, announcing among other things that his film will be in line with the first chapter.
The cast includes the trio present since Insidious, or the investigators of the occult: psychic Elise Rainier played by Lin Shaye and her helpers Tucker and Specs, played by Angus Sampson and Leigh Whannell, respectively. They are joined by Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Hayley Kiyoko, Angus Sampson, Steve Coulter, Ashton Moio and Michael Reid MacKay.
The new terror story of Insidious: Chapter 3 will involve a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) and her family. What haunted the Lamberts in the first two chapters will this time traumatize new victims by revealing secrets and shedding light on some mysteries.
Filming of the film began in July this year, and the release date in U.S. theaters is set for May 29, 2015.
