Ahead of the release of the first trailer, the official title of the fourth installment of the saga has been revealed Insidious. These are. Insidious: The Last Key. The screenplay, on the other hand, is by Leigh Whanell, former screenwriter of the first three chapters of the franchise and director of Insidious 3.
Insidious: The Last Key is produced by Jason Blum (The Purge, Get Out), Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity) and James Wan (director of the first two chapters of the saga i.e. Insidious and Beyond the boundaries of evil: Insidious 2).
The story of Insidious: The Last Key precedes the events of the other chapters. Lin Shaye again plays paranormal investigator Elise Rainer, and in this new chapter of the saga she will have to confront the demonic spirits that haunt her home.
Besides her, in this new chapter we will again find Angus Sampson and Leigh Whannell in the roles of Tucker and Specs, respectively.
Also in the cast are Caitlin Gerard (Smiley), Josh Stewart (The Neighbor), Kirk Acevedo, Hana Hayes, Marcus Henderson, and Jerrika Hinton.
The release date of Insidious: The Last Key is set for January 5, 2018.
