It is now in its 5th edition theInteriora Horror Fest, the Independent Horror Festival to be held in Rome at Forte Prenestino on the days October 31 and November 1, 2014. There is still time to send in your materials as, to meet the large number of requests, the deadline for the call has been extended until the end of this month, to Aug. 31.
The event is founded and organized by the Cultural Association IMPULSI onlus, in collaboration with C.A.R.M.A. Center for Applied Multimedia Arts and Research and c.s.o.a. Forte Prenestino.
Participation in the festival is free of charge; for more information, interested parties are encouraged to take a look at the official website, the regulation page, where among other things you can find the announcement for the following sections:
- Cinema (short film competition, reserved for independent productions)
- Visual arts
- Music
- Performing arts
- Literature (poems and short stories)
The theme of Interiora Horror Fest 2014 is the Danse Macabre (the dance of death), or death understood as memento mori, a link to the afterlife, a destructive image contrasted with that of life.
There will also be screenings, meetings, exhibitions, performances and special events during the two-day event.
On the film side, the competition includes four awards (Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Performance and the Audience Award). The winners will be awarded original works created especially for the Interiora Horror Fest From Murderfarts and Wolfenstein.
